Nicky Kennedy (OK 2012) died February 27, 2020

It was with enormous sadness that we recently learnt of the death of Nicky Kennedy (OK 2012).

Nicky was an incredibly warm young man; from mentoring younger pupils in his tutor group to serving as a Kingsley House Prefect, he was committed to being an excellent role model throughout his time at King’s. He is remembered by his tutor as incredibly community-minded, with a particular gift for being respectful of, and helping, others. It was no surprise that he chose to spend his Friday afternoons for many years at a variety of community service stations. Nicky played hockey the school’s 1st and 2nd teams and was a pivotal member of the 1st V basketball squad. After leaving King’s, he was awarded a first class bachelor’s degree in Business and Management at the University of Exeter.

A requiem mass in loving memory of Nicky was held today, Friday 6th March, at Christ the Prince of Peace, Weybridge. The Head Master and numerous members of the King’s community attended the service.

Nicky will be greatly missed by everyone at King’s and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very sad time.
