Old Boys’ Cup Champions
I’m delighted to share that the KCSOBFC 1st XI became champions of the Old Boys Cup on Saturday, with a resounding 5-1 victory over Old Reigatians in the final. This represents a major milestone for the club, clinching silverware for what I believe is the first time (although Mikey in copy, I’m sure, will confirm). The 1st XI have also run Old Carthusians all the way in the Arthurian Premier League, but with two games still to play, look likely to finish a mighty impressive runner-up, equalling the club’s highest league finish.
I have not been involved due to increasing work and family commitments, but I hear that the pitch has gone from strength to strength this year, coping much better, particularly through the winter months, than last year. This has undoubtedly laid the foundations for success on the pitch, and we hope this will only continue to grow as the club establishes itself as one of the premier outfits in the Arthurian Division.
