Old Boy's Football Club – Fan's Day is here!

The KCS Old Boys Football Club would like to invite you to its annual ‘Fan’s Day’, to be held at Kingsway (formerly West Barnes Lane) on Saturday March 28th.

The Old Boys FC are celebrating their 10th year in existence and have grown from strength to strength during the past decade. With 2 teams up and running successfully within the Arthurian League, we hope that we will be able to put on a real footballing feast! Over the past few years, Fan’s Day has provided plenty of people associated with both the school & the football club with a fantastic and unique chance to meet old and new acquaintances, while also giving us a chance to say thank you for your continued support.

Across the two squads, we are proud to represent over 15 years’ worth of school leavers, so there is a very good chance that you will know somebody out there!

Please feel free to bring any friends/family (a couple of beers…) and enjoy some cracking amateur football back at West Barnes Lane. Similar to last year, we hope to have the current Headmaster, members of the Old Boys Club and representatives from the Arthurian league all in attendance and will be heading to the Village for some drinks afterwards.

Format for the day is as follows:

12pm: KCS OB’s 2nd XI v Old Milfieldians 1st XI (JLC Semi Final)
2pm: KCS OB’s 1st XI v Old Etonians 1st XI (Arthurian League)
4:30pm: Tea/Drinks at the Hand in Hand, opposite the school

The 1st XI will be seeking revenge for their cup ¼ final defeat against Old Etonians 1st XI, who find themselves in a scrap to stay in the league’s top flight. The 2 sides are evenly matched and this should be a closely contested game.

The 2nd XI entertain Old Milfieldians in the semi-final or the Junior League Cup. It’s been an incredible reversal in fortunes for the 2nd XI this season and they will need plenty of support against a very strong Milfield side that are new to Arthurian football, with a spot at final’s day awaiting the winner…
