King’s 1XV 41 Weybridge – Vandals 7; Batt Ironsides 45 – Kings 2XV 7

Saturday 27 September was a very good day for our 1XV despite still missing several players who would expect to feature in the first team. Ed Forshaw at No 8 and George Taylor at inside centre featured for their first full games in the team, both are 18 years old and products of our minis. Both youngsters were so good that they should share player of the match awards. Barry Williams was a new addition at wing forward and was also superb. We scored 7 tries and are now joint top scorers in the league. As other players return, selection will be tough and I hope this will lead to us having a strong 2XV which is always the recipe for success at this Club.

The next game is at home to Winchester on 11th October. However this Saturday afternoon the School 1XV are using our pitch for their match against Eton at 2.30pm. I don’t yet know if they are using our clubhouse but please come and support the School.
